Deep ruby-red color with rich, vibrant reflections. The nose is expressive and distinctive, revealing aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and dark forest fruits, complemented by subtle notes of dried herbs, black pepper, and earthy spice. On the palate, the wine is rich and characterful, with generous fruit, refreshing acidity, and well-defined tannins. The absence of oak keeps the expression pure and vibrant, leading to a persistent finish with lingering dark fruit and savory spice.

Made from 100% Mavrud, one of Bulgaria's oldest and most emblematic indigenous grape varieties, this wine offers a pure and authentic expression of both the grape and its terroir. No oak is used, allowing the natural fruit, freshness, structure, and distinctive personality of Mavrud to remain completely at the forefront. This fruit-focused approach showcases a different side of a variety that is often associated with extended barrel maturation.

Produced by the small family-owned Bendida Winery in Brestovitsa, a historic wine-growing village at the foothills of the Rhodope Mountains, this Mavrud reflects the winery's artisanal approach and dedication to Bulgaria's native grape varieties.
